In attempts to be present with students, we really pushed for virtual reference and I made myself available in our course management chat system, scheduled endless google meet appointments, purchased an increasing amount of eBooks, subscribed to an additional database, all while trying to help students and faculty alike to navigate this crazy version of online school that they were now all engaged in. Many faculty who had little to no experience with technology were now holding their entire class over google meet. They simply did not have the experience or skill to modify their lesson plans to suit that alternative mode of delivery. Some simply made little voice recordings for every PowerPoint slide and needed me to go in and edit that into a video lecture that students could watch. I am not necessarily proud of the low scale quality of some of those presentations that were created, but I am proud of the way that faculty and students rallied to try and get the course material available and accomplish the learning set out for the rest of the semester.
